SMS Messaging Gateway Control


How to Stop SMS reporting to your Mobile:

There are 2 ways to stop unwanted SMS messages coming to your mobile phone from the MyAlarm Gateway. In both cases you will receive an SMS asking you to confirm your request for deactivation.


Method A:

Send an SMS message STOP STDxxxxxxxx to mobile 0401941702, where STDxxxxxxxx is replaced with the full originating telephone number of the message as displayed at the end of the SMS including the STD prefix.


Method B:

Send an SMS message STOP ALL to mobile 0401941702 and this will disable all messages regardless of their originating telephone number.


How to Restart SMS reporting to your Mobile:

If you have previously stopped SMS reporting from your system there are 2 ways to restart SMS messages coming to your mobile phone from the MyAlarm Gateway.


Method A:

Send an SMS message START STDxxxxxxxx to mobile 0401941702, where STDxxxxxxxx is replaced with the telephone number including the STD prefix of the telephone line your security system is connected to.


Method B:

Send an SMS message START ALL to mobile 0401941702 and this will allow all messages regardless of their originating telephone number.



Service Charges:

Usage of the MyAlarm service is free, however call charges do apply for each message sent. The cost per message is typically the same as a local phone call or around $0.25cents and these will appear on your telephone account as a "security" call.
